How does time tracking work?

Time tracking allows your desklamp users to add their time into a job. All time is entered in minutes with a description and the date the session took place.

The last 3 time sessions are displayed on the job dashboard and a job can have an unlimited number of entries.

What are job files?

The files tab for jobs allows you to upload files directly into a job. All files must be assigned a label when they are uploaded to allow easy identification of files. This label can be changed at any time.

These files may be images, documents or compressed files – anything which is related to a job. These can be downloaded by your desklamp users at any time.

What happens when I convert a job to an invoice?

When you click the ‘Convert to Invoice’ tab, you will be directed to a new invoice screen. This will already have various infomation entered for you:

• client and contact information
• an internal reference – made up from the job and quote numbers
• information about the job being converted

If a job had previously been converted from a quote, each of the quote items will automatically be inserted into the invoice. If not, the invoice will be blank.

Once converted, you can look under ‘Associated Objects’ on the right of the screen to access links to the job and, if applicable, the quote.
